Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he goes from student to avenging serial killer with the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter (2006) first aired. Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). This is really cool. I’m 3 episodes in and I’m loving the ride so far. It gives off early season Dexter vibes and the casting is really good. It’s been a long time and I’m surprised at how many people I recognize. Young, bumbling Dexter is great and it’s fun to watch him transform into the Dexter of Season 1. It actually takes off after the newest season of Dexter so if you haven’t seen that be prepared for immediate spoilers when you start this. They’re announcing that this is actually leading up to something called Dexter Resurrection, which will premiere in the summer. Some people think it’s necessary to let Dexter die, but I love this new journey and can’t wait to see more.
