CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic implementation of weapons handling, house clearance, location, group operations, etc… Presented at Premios Soberano (2024). I’m Yellowstone & most of Taylor Sheridan’s work. However, this is a step too far. Now things obviously have to go wrong for the plot to progress, but wow! This group of apparent special operators are incompetent. They screw up every operation they perform. From the opening scene where the insurgents were allowed to attack before they realize they might be the bad guys, to the ridiculous decision to use an unpleasant, hapless woman (the main character) to befriend the target’s lively group. I’d happily go along if these things weren’t supposed to be taken seriously. Others here have already stated that the main character is drawn as some kind of supergirl. And that’s right. She’s like a terminator! My biggest problem, though, is that I really don’t like her.
